English in a pandemic

Hi guys! Finally we are on the last blog, I hope you're doing well with the return to classes :) It's been a difficult months, on every way of my life. I've never thought to bee studying at my home and neither studying english at my home, it's like taking a course of "Open English" haha. I have to say that on the beginning of the course it was a little bit difficult for me to speak in english in front of the other classmates, but one day I thought "They can't even watch me, they don't even know me", so that made me realize that no one cares about my pronunciation (only the teacher, of course) and we were all learning. I hope that I can still speaking in english with no shame when we go back to "normality" and get back to the physical university. I've always noticed that my writing and listening are very good, but when I have to talk in this language I get very nervous and my mind goes to white, I can't think one word a

New academic programme?

Hello! Today's post it's going to be a little difficult haha, I hope it goes well. I choose this university because I liked a lot the curriculum of my carrer, it was what I wanted because there's a balance between the humanistic and the scientist side and other universities were heavily loaded to an one of these extremes and to be honest with you guys, I hate the scientist part but it's necessary in our knowledge.  However, I didn't know too much about co-curricular activities and when I started my first year I'd got dissapointed. The JGM campus has this giant sport camp, but the sport that I was looking it wasn't there ): . Since 2018 I practice "Crossfit" and it was very difficult for me to continue doing this sport at the same time that I was studying. The schedules didn't match with my training times that I had been doing.  The campus has the implemments to do this course, because there is a similar one called "Halterofilia&qu

A few months later...

Hi classmates! I hope you're okey and with good health :) Today's post it's about what I'm going to do after this pandemic! I think that most of us have thought different things about this topic... but surely you will start with leaving your house haha. Well, in my case I don't hate beeing on my house like other people. I'm a very homey person, I like staying in the comfort of my home and lately I've been getting along better than the past with my family. I've always try to see the positive side, and if I can't see it, I'll make it that way. It's been a few intense month, because I have had the opportunity to knowing myself on different ways, I started doing yoga, enjoying the simple things like hearing the birds in the morning or seeing the snowy mountain range. However, not everything is perfect and the necessity of getting money to survive it's always there. My family has to go out to work, even on this context and the fear of s

Postgraduate studies

Hello everyone! I hope you're good :) Today I'm writing about my "postgraduate studies". If I'm honest, I haven't think too much about this because I live day by day, specially in this pandemic situation haha.  I've always thought that it's something wrong with the world, there it's too much people sad and beeing silenced by other people, and when I find out about this beautiful movement called "Feminisim", I felt hopeful again. Since this discovery in my life, I think that we can be whoever we want, no more people saying "you can't wear that, it's too masculine" or "you must clean the house because you have to be a good housewife".  In actual society, minority groups usually feel frustrated, tired to beeing critized and I would love to help them, say to them "you have to let yourself be". I dream about a diverse society, where no one feels opressed and besides all the problems that "U

Animal Sanctuary

Hi everyone! New week and new theme! I will be writing to you about my ideal job. Strictly speaking, working in an animal Santuary it's not a job because you don't earn money for yourself, but you do collect money for the animales abandoned or rescued from slaughterhouses. It's not an easy task, because you must get partners who are willing to donate money or associations that help you cover the cost. On the beginning you have to run with the cost by yourself, so I was thinking to have a bakery or just sell vegan sweets to have some money. I need to have the support from a vet, but my boyfriend it's studying for that si I hope we're still together when the moment comes.  I would like to have a sanctuary because I think that it's the less thing that I could do with animal explotation and violation around the world and every single day. All of the living creatures have the right to live! And I will fight for them until I die. The only thing that I w

The lion king

Hi guys, today I have the pleasure to write to you about cinema. I don't watch a lot of movies on my casual days, the only films that I enjoy are the infantile ones... so if you want to ask me about what movies you can watch I'm not the one haha.  My favorite movies are from Disney, I think it's suitable for everyone, the kids enjoy it and adults too because it has a lot of meanings and you can make a reflections about your life from the movie.  On my personal case, I watched Disney when I was a little girl but I re-watched them when I grew up and the different meanings that you gave to the same films are very different.  My favorite movie at all times it has to be "The Lion King". This film talk about how important it's family, the conflict that means looking for your purpose on life, learn about the importance of wild life, respect animals and the food chain, and a lot of other things! If you haven't watched The lion king I invite you to watch it.  Thank

Interlagos route

Hello again! I hope that you're okey :)  This time I will be telling you about my last holydays.  Before this hole pandemic thing, on February I went to the south of Chile. It was a trip with no returning date haha because I traveled by bike!. I went with my boyfriend, because we both like the adventure and it's less expensive to go by bike.  We choose the "Inter-Lagos route" because it goes over three regions: Araucania, Los Rios and Los Lagos. We wanted to see the most that we could watch.  I must say, It was a challenging trip, I experienced my physical limits at the maximum. But, in spite of that, it was a wonderful holyday, that's why I think it has been the best so far.  We were pedaling a long time, so when we were resting the only thing that we did was eating or going to the lakes, beaches or walking on the craft fairs.  I think that if you want to do this type of holyday, you must be prepare physically and mentally for cheer you up! And get good implement
