Hello everyone! I hope you're good :)
Today I'm writing about my "postgraduate studies". If I'm honest, I haven't think too much about this because I live day by day, specially in this pandemic situation haha.
I've always thought that it's something wrong with the world, there it's too much people sad and beeing silenced by other people, and when I find out about this beautiful movement called "Feminisim", I felt hopeful again. Since this discovery in my life, I think that we can be whoever we want, no more people saying "you can't wear that, it's too masculine" or "you must clean the house because you have to be a good housewife".
In actual society, minority groups usually feel frustrated, tired to beeing critized and I would love to help them, say to them "you have to let yourself be". I dream about a diverse society, where no one feels opressed and besides all the problems that "Universidad de Chile" could have, I think it's the more inclusive than the other ones and for that reason I would study a gender course in this university. If it's possible, I would like to study in person.
I'd like taking a subject related with gender in Latin America, because there are different manifestations of patriarchy between one part of the world and another.
It's very important to be informed about the changes around the world because there are people involved on that. We have to respect all the request for a better world, we have to renew ourselves.
Thanks for reading again!
I believe that the studies in gender and oppressed groups could help improve society
